Expecting snow on your big day? Here are five must-know tips for you if they’re calling for snow on your big day:

1. Embrace the Beauty: Snow can add a magical backdrop to your wedding photos. Consider providing cozy blankets or shawls for guests to keep warm and comfortable during outdoor moments.

2. Communicate Clearly: Quickly update your guests about any changes due to weather through your wedding website, social media, or a phone call chain. Assure them that everything is under control and the day will be memorable.

3. Adjust Your Schedule: Flexibility is key, so plan with your vendors to shift times if needed to avoid the heaviest snowfall. This might mean an earlier ceremony or shifting indoor activities to prime times.

4. Add Warm Touches: Incorporate warm drinks like hot chocolate or spiced cider into your reception menu. These can be a delightful treat that guests will appreciate in the chilly weather.

5. Have a Plan B: Ensure you have an indoor option available at your venue to move any outdoor activities inside. Decorate the space with extra lights and candles (or a cozy fireplace fire!) to maintain a cozy and festive atmosphere.

Wondering how to make your wedding more eco-friendly? 🌍🌱

🍃We'd love to share tips we've seen that add sustainability to the big day!

✅First, if you know someone who's planning a wedding and interested in minimizing their impact on the planet, share this post with them or save it yourself for your big day.

💌Invitations:
-Digital invitations are super eco-friendly, but if you still want the elegance of a paper invitation, consider choosing recycled paper. It’s chic, responsible, and can be as elegant as traditional options.

🌺Flowers:
 - Select local and seasonal flowers to minimize the impact of transporting exotic blooms.
- Consider potted plants or living décor that guests can take home and plant.
- Have a floral donation plan (think: nursing homes, hospitals) in place OR create a floral take-home station (pictured) easily by supplying kraft paper, scissors, and ribbon. Bonus: this acts as a eco-friendly favor as well!

🌼Eco-Friendly Favors:
- Give back to the Earth with favors like seed packets or small potted plants.

🚐Transportation:
- Encourage carpooling or provide a shuttle service for guests.

🍽️Catering & Rentals:
- Choose local caterers (bonus if they have a farm-to-table focus).
- Ask your venue if they have a plan for recycling to handle waste responsibly.
- Have a plan for your leftovers to minimize food waste.
- Rent your dishware, tablescapes, linens, etc. Bonus points if it's from a place like @missmatchrentals or @abushelandpeckvintagerentals who gives new life into vintage items.

💃Speaking of Renting, Not Buying:
From decor to attire, renting items can significantly cut down waste. Encourage your wedding party to rent their outfits or choose outfits they will wear again.

🏰Choose a Sustainable Venue
Select venues that have given new life to old buildings, rather than opting for new constructions. This approach preserves history and minimizes resource usage, making your celebration part of a legacy of sustainability. (We think we know of a venue like this, just ask us and we'd be glad to share 😜)

Wondering how?

Send your first emoji, then open up emojis and click and hold the additional emoji and drag it up! You can add more than just one, too. It’s super fun…. So start layering those ring emojis 💍

I mean, if you’re into that type of thing 💅💍
